Travel

Crucially the London Overground passing through White Hart Lane will be running a normal service on Sat 11 Nov 2023, although Transport for London have recently announced some engineering works. Some Tube lines into Liverpool Street Station will be open and others will be closed until 3.00pm.

You can still get to Liverpool Street Station on the Central Line or Elizabeth Line. Alternatively, take the Northern Line to Moorgate which is about 500 metres from Liverpool Street (via Finsbury Circus Gardens).

Alternatively, have an adventure on the rail replacement bus services which will operate across various bits of central London.

At Liverpool Street there will be no Circle Line, Hammersmith & City Line, or Metropolitan Line (which all share the same track in that area) until 3.00pm.

At the time of writing, National Rail services into Liverpool Street Station are unaffected.

Tickets

Ticket sales have closed. You do not need to bring a paper ticket to the venue, but you do need to be on the list of ticket holders. Arrivals without tickets cannot be admitted. A waiting list is in operation. If you have a ticket and you can no longer attend please let us know via email barcamplondon@electronical.ly

Venue

The venue has a safeguarding policy for youngsters and a “safeguarding statement” needs to be completed by a responsible adult, for all minors. We know of one or two cases where this will apply. If, unavoidably you have to bring a minor with you, then we need to know in advance, and they need to have their own ticket. Over the weekend of 4 and 5 Nov emails will be sent from barcamplondon@electronical.ly to relevant cases.

The venue staff and the volunteer team reserve the right to refuse admission.

Water

Please bring a refillable bottle so that you can top up from the water fountains and minimise the use of disposable cups.

Sessions

Sessions are 30 minutes long with 10 minute pauses between them. There are 9 parallel tracks, 7 of which have IT facilities. If you want to host a session there is a good chance that you will have a space when the grid is populated. If you need your laptop to host your session, then be aware that the school has HDMI connections in most rooms. Please bring your HDMI adaptor if you need to.

Restrictions

People who have Covid19 symptoms should stay away please! People who wear masks and who do not wear masks are equally welcome, and are to be respected for exercising their choice.

There will be no smoking, no vaping and no alcohol. This applies throughout the venue, including the roof terrace.
